Why I do what I do..

The corporate retirement plan world is a mysterious place prevalent of peaks and valleys. Often, 401k plan sponsors and rank-and-file employees who participate in 401k plans are left alone to fend for themselves by 401k plan advisors. These plan sponsors and employees are expected to understand the 401k landscape, as well as understand fund surveillance and performance all by their lonesome. Quite frankly, I realized the 401k plan education resources available to blue collar industries were critically scarce. Understanding that the blue collar workforce was severely underserved, I made a commitment to provide the most comprehensive, highest quality 401k plan education services available.

I enjoy working with...

Companies in energy, transportation, manufacturing and production, service occupations, and laborers. I have a passion for working with these kinds of clients because they have not gotten the level of service nor have they received the proper guidance that they deserve for their retirement planning. For many of these good hard working people, their 401k plan is their only retirement planning vehicle. If their 401k plan advisor isn’t someone they can count on to help funnel them towards retirement success, who else can they count on?

My education consists of...

I have a Masters in Business Administration. I am also licensed in two areas that specifically address corporate retirement planning: Corporate Retirement Plan Specialist® and Accredited Investment Fiduciary®.

Before M&M, I...

Worked in various managerial sales capacities and built several teams focused around helping clients to plan strategically for unforeseen events and helping them to achieve their goals financially.

I chose M&M because...

Majors & Mondragon was one of a select few registered investment advisory firms that gave me the opportunity to help corporate clients from a purely objective vantage point. Majors & Mondragon is a independent RIA, completely un-beholden to any one 401k service provider. This allows me to seek out the absolute best, most optimal, most efficient 401k service provider for each of my clients. The importance of this is obvious: no one glove fits every hand. Similarly, no one 401k provider works best for all assets sizes and plan designs.

The best part about my career is...

Work/life balance and the ability to aide people in a realm where most feel insecure. I’ve had several clients thank me for providing them with the education needed to make sound competent decisions about their 401k retirement planning, which is unbelievably rewarding.

The best piece of financial advice I have received is...

“Leverage is the key to unsurmountable wealth. Learn to partner with people to collect funds for projects because it takes money to make money.”
-Unknown

My life outside of work

My family includes...
My pride and joy, my son Marcel. He is an absolute force, taking on any task that comes his way with extreme vigor. At the tender age of 4 he has already become my hero and have shown me that bravery comes without age limits.

In my free time, you can find me...
Enjoying the outdoors. I love taking bike rides through trails in my neighborhood (when the weather permits of course). I am also an avid fitness nut! I frequent my neighboring 24 Hour Fitness gym every morning at 4am. I find that physical activity early in the am helps to clear my thoughts and correct both my attitude and energy for the day ahead.

I’m passionate about...
Equality and fair treatment for everyone. Civil treatment is extremely important to me. The idea that people-because of their race, ethnicity, age, or sophistication-should be treated different is absolutely egregious. This is another reason why I seek out blue collar clients. They have been mistreated for years and its high time they get the retirement planning service they deserve.

My favorite quote is...
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.
-Aristotle

If I could meet anyone, past or present, it would be...
The 35th President of the United States of America, Mr. John F. Kennedy. My spirit connects well with Mr. Kennedy. Also, I believe I’m in the profession of serving others. His famous statement, “Ask not what your country can do for you-ask what you can do for your country,” resonates well with me.

My favorite food is...
Authentic Italian food. Nothing is better than the old fashioned spaghetti and meatballs with marinara meat sauce. Bellissimo!

My hidden talent is...
All things art. I can paint and sketch with the best of them. If I weren’t managing corporate assets, I’d be a street artist on the cobblestone streets of Venice, sketching caricatures of tourists and locals alike while stuffing my face with pasta and marinara.
