Why do I do what I do...

As a Financial Advisor, at its core, I enjoy helping people. Getting to know my clients to develop long-term relationships is key to providing meaningful value-added advice. Additionally, I take my role as a fiduciary very seriously and doing what’s best for my clients.

I enjoy working with...

 individual families, entrepreneurs, and professionals

My education consists of…

I have a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Houston, a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Project Management from Syracuse University, as well as an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Investment Management from the Marilyn Davies College of Business at the University of Houston-Downtown. In addition, I currently hold the Series 65 registration, as well as the Life & Health Insurance License.

Before M&M, I...

worked for another financial services firm that had an Insurance focus. Prior to that I was a Construction Project Manager for a prominent Home Builder. The bulk of my post-baccalaureate experience was serving in the U.S. Army as a Field Artillery Officer, to include a deployment overseas in Afghanistan.

I chose M&M because...

I liked the way that the principals conducted business with respect to the client. Everything goes back to the client. People are smart, with nearly infinite information at their disposal. They can pick up when you are just trying to shill product and make a quick buck. If you do that you won’t last long in this business. A fully independent boutique firm was a draw for me, which granted me the capability to recommend the best course of action, while being product agnostic. This has been a great fit.

The best part about my career is...

the autonomy and flexibility in schedule. The intangible benefit is the feeling you get when you know that you’ve truly helped someone.

The Best part of financial advice I ever received is...

“Never invest what you are not willing to lose.”

My life outside of work

My family includes...

my beautiful wife Kristy, and my two Daughters

In my free time you can find me...

spending time with my family, attending a sports game around the city (“Go Astros!”), or checking out new places.

I’m passionate about...

learning. If it’s subject I’m even vaguely interested in, I’ll consume it relentlessly until I know as much as I can about it.

My favorite quote is...

“Writing a check separates a commitment from a conversation.” – Warren Buffett

If I could meet anyone, past or present, it would be...

Stephen Hawking. His level of knowledge and insight on theoretical physics was staggering. I probably wouldn’t understand half of it, but it’d be a great conversation.

My favorite food is...

Thai food and tacos. Those are two foods that I find acceptable to eat for nearly any reason.

My hidden talent is...

my mechanical inclination. In my past I’ve built computers, cars, and some carpentry projects.
